Norwich completed their pre season warm up fixtures with a competitive game against Ipswich YM, a club they have not played for many decades, who play in the league below.
The visitors were able to introduce 4 Colts to adult rugby and some new players to the club and ensure everyone got a run out.
Norwich featured strongly in the first half with some players playing out of position. A special mention must got to Jack Austin for his first ever run out at 9!
With many changes at half time, Norwich only added one try to their tally, as YM came back strongly and threatened to overhaul the visitors.
It was a useful run out for both clubs and allowed the coaches to get a better idea of the strengths and weaknesses in the sides as they prepare for the season’s opening fixtures next weekend.
